Plenary, concurrent and workshop sessions will be held across Tuesday 17 (The Goods Shed), and Wednesday 18 - Friday 20 September (Ballarat Civic Hall, Mining Exchange, Mechanics Institue and Art Gallery of Ballarat).

The Welcome Reception will be held on Tuesday 17 September 2024 at The Goods Shed. Be welcomed to the lands of the Wadawurrung people and finish the night with the highly anticipated AMaGA National Awards.

AMaGA Annual general Meeting (AGM) and presentation of annual report for 2023-2024 will be held as part of Tuesday 17 September's proceedings (from 5pm, subject to change).

Our Conference Experience Dinner will be held at Sovereign Hill on Thursday 19 September 2024. Further details to be announced shortly, and we look forward to having you join us for the evening.

Bursary applications:

A range of bursaries will be managed by the AMaGA National Office. This year, the bursary application process has been consolidated into the main conference registration process! But don’t worry, as always, payment for registration attached to a bursary is not required at the time of registering. Please note, the bursary application process is not available with the Super Early Bird registrations.

In the allocation of bursaries, priority is given to Indigenous delegates, delegates from remote or regionals area and individuals who have not previously received a bursary. 

Bursary applications close on Sunday 30 June 2024, and successful participants will be notified by Sunday 14 July 2024.

AMaGA and PGAV Members:

AMaGA members are eligible for preferential rates across all registration types (see table below). For the first time and to acknowledge the Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) as co-hosts of Conference Day 1 in Ballarat, staff and volunteers of member organisations can access AMaGA member rates for Tuesday 17 September day-only registrations. To access these rates, please ensure you have your AMaGA or PGAV membership number on hand when registering.

Not yet an AMaGA member? Not to worry, all membership options (including virtual) now have the option to bundle your AMaGA membership in with your conference registration, representing savings across the board.

Institutional virtual registrations:

Once again, AMaGA is offering a singular price point for unlimited virtual access to the conference to AMaGA institutional members. Rates are based on the membership level held with AMaGA, and directly relate to the annual operating budget of the member. 

To purchase, please use the Institutional Virtual link at the top of the page. Once purchased, you will be provided with a custom link with instructions on how your colleagues can claim their virtual registration. 

Virtual registrations this year only include keynote/plenary sessions and the AMaGA National Awards ceremony.

Terms and conditions:

Acknowledgment/communication

All communication with registered delegates will be by email. All registrations will be sent a confirmation letter and tax invoice within a few hours of submitting a registration form (please check your SPAM folder). If your email address has changed since completing the registration form, be sure to advise your new email address to Conlog at amaga@conlog.com.au.

Cancellation

All cancellations and requests for registration refunds must be made in writing to amaga@conlog.com.au. Any changes to your registration or optional bookings will not be accepted over the phone. Please email your changes to amaga@conlog.com.au.

If you are unable to attend the conference after submitting your online registration, you can nominate a substitute. All substitutes names are to be received via email to amaga@conlog.com.au.

  • Cancellations received before Friday 16 August 2024 will receive a refund less a $99.00 per administration fee
  • Cancellations received after Friday 16 August 2024 will not receive a refund. Exceptions are at the discretion of the organising committee
  • Super Early Birds may only be booked by AMaGA Individual members. Payment via credit card is required at the time of booking
  • Super Early Birds are non-refundable, however may be changed to an individual virtual registration if required
  • Refunds will not be issued until after the conference
  • Refunds will not be given for non-attendance at the conference
  • Accommodation and airline cancellations are at the discretion of the individual concerned. Please check the accommodation T&C when booking
  • Should your attendance to the conference be impacted by any restrictions enforced by COVID-19 government regulations, the conference organisers will discuss available options on a case by case basis and come to a mutual agreement.

Payment of fees

All payments must be received prior to the conference and within the due date listed on the tax invoice. If payment for your registration type is not received prior to the conference, you will be required to finalise your payment onsite.

Non-attendance at the conference still requires payment in full, unless a cancellation is received before Friday 16 August 2024.
