The National Gallery of Australia is Australia’s leading national visual arts institution, holding more than 160,000 works of art. The NGA is located in the heart of Canberra, near Parliament House, the High Court of Australia and next door to the National Portrait Gallery. You can also get to the NGA from the path around Lake Burley Griffin if you walk through the Sculpture Garden.

Multiple award-winning, the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) is the largest, purpose-built conference and event venue in the ACT. Situated within the CBD, the NCCC is within close proximity to a wide variety of accommodation and restaurant options, plus walking distance to Lake Burley Griffin.
NATIONAL NETWORK SESSIONS

Delegates who find themselves unable to attend the Australian Museums and Galleries Association National Conference 2021 after submitting their online registration are most welcome to nominate a substitute. All substitutions and cancellations must be made by email to amaga@conlog.com.au.
Cancellations received before / on Friday 8 May 2021 will be refunded, less an administration fee of $99. Cancellations received after Friday 8 May 2021 are not refundable. Exceptions are at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
All hotel booking cancellations MUST be made in writing to amaga@conlog.com.au. Cancellations received after Friday 8 May 2021 will be charged by the hotel according to their cancellation policy.
All conference and function payments must be received prior to the conference.
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. The organisers do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.
A list of participants will be produced which includes individuals’ details such as name, organisation, state and Twitter handle. You will be asked for permission for your details to be included when you register. AMaGA2021 is being operated in accordance with the Global Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into effect on 25 May 2018. Therefore, before you begin your registration, you will need to give consent for your data to be used in facilitating your event registration, as well as in the planning and implementation of the Conference (providing dietary requirements to conference venues and accommodation bookings details to the specified hotel for example). This request for data consent is in accordance with GDPR and represents our commitment to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide during the registration process. The conference registration information is correct at the time of publishing. However, the organisers reserve the right to change the information where necessary without notice.In the event of industrial disruptions, the conference and the organisers accept no responsibility.
Recommended dress for the conference is smart casual for all conference sessions and social functions.
Morning and afternoon teas and lunches will be provided in the NCCC's Exhibition Hall, amongst the exhibition (and in Gandel Hall for the RR&C Day). Attendees of the National Network sessions will be provided with a light lunch.
If you have not already notified Conference Logistics of any special dietary requirements (eg. vegetarian), please do so as soon as possible by emailing amaga@conlog.com.au.
Dietary requests will be catered for to the best of the venue’s ability. Individuals with severe allergies are requested to advise Conference Logistics of their requirements prior to the conference, and bring any allergy medication (EpiPen, Phenergan, etc.) as prescribed by your doctor to the conference and any associated function. Whilst due care is taken by the organisers and venue, individuals must take primary responsibility for their own health.
All the rooms and event spaces for AMaGA2021 are non-smoking.
