Dr Jenny Newell is the Curator for Climate Change at the Climate Solutions Centre, Australian Museum, Sydney. She works to advance understanding and engagement in the climate crisis through exhibitions, events, publications and community collaborations. With a background in environmental history and a focus on the Pacific and Australia, she has used her curatorial roles in London, Canberra, New York and Sydney to explore and support positive human-nature relationships. Recent exhibitions: Spark: Australian innovations tackling climate change (2021) and Future Now (2022-), a diorama-based exhibition about sustainable ways forward, touring community venues. Recent publications include co-edited volumes Curating the Future: Museums, Communities & Climate Change (2016) and Living with the Anthropocene (2020). Jenny convenes the Museums & Climate Change Network and co-convenes Sydney Climate Institutions for Climate Action.
