Bridi Rice is the founder and CEO of Development and Intelligence Lab (the Lab), a think-tank focused on Indo-Pacific development, as well as an expert Associate at ANU's National Security College.
Bridi’s professional career reflects a diverse background and a commitment to international development and policy. Bridi pursued academic studies in Law and Arts at the University of Monash, delving into topics such as transitional justice and capacity development in Papua New Guinea.
Her career began in the public sector, overseeing Australian bilateral legal cooperation programs at the Australian Attorney-General’s Department. She later transitioned to the private sector, working as a Senior Manager for Ernst & Young, focusing on public sector consulting. Bridi's dedication to international development led her to roles advocating for NGOs as a Director of the Australian Council for International Development. She also co-founded the Asia Pacific Development Diplomacy and Defence Dialogue and served as an anti-corruption adviser in Papua New Guinea.
In 2021, Bridi was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship in Not-For-Profit Leadership. She maintains affiliations with institutions such as the Centre for Strategic International Studies in Washington D.C. and the Australian National University’s RegNet.
