Imogen Johnstone

MCM

Imogen Johnstone is a proud Kamilaroi woman living on Yorta Yorta country in Echuca/Moama.

She has had many roles throughout her life both professionally and personally. Advocating for children and young people to be proud of who they are, to be safe from harm and to have their chosen futures is Imogen's passion, which stems from her lived experiences.

This year Imogen connected with the policy and advocacy team at MCM and since then she has solely represented First Nations at the State of Future Youth Forum in the Victorian Parliament, advised, and co-designed a youth engagement strategy for local government and consulted for several growth projects on mental health and family violence for young people experiencing homelessness.

Imogen aspires to provide First Nations children who have disengaged from mainstream schooling a safe space to complete their education carrying the wisdom of their culture throughout their journey.
