Amanda has over 31 years experience in the Family and Community Service sector, with the last 12 years seeing her manage a number of programs including Family Services, Youth, Family Violence, AOD, Forensics and Financial Counselling, 14 of the 31 years being in the UK in the Lancashire County Council Social Services Directorate working with vulnerable children and families in need initially as a case manager and seven years in a middle management position. Amanda is passionate about the well being of children and families, and the importance of maximising their potential, developing and building on their resilience and support networks by providing quality service delivery to those in need.Amanda has a clear commitment to social justice and models an approach that treats all people as equal.Role and functions performed The Group Manager provides operational and strategic leadership of Child Youth and Family, Care & Placement and Family Violence Services in the Northern Region - Metropolitan and Rural areas, along with Settlement Services in both Metro and Regional Victoria with responsibility for the delivery of a suite of programs and services for children, young people, families and individuals. The position plays a key role in the development of collaborative relationships both internally and externally, including the Uniting Church Presbytery, and actively seeks out opportunities for the development of current and new services in line with the Uniting strategic vision. The position has organisational responsibility and management of programs and services as the senior representative and lead within the portfolio.
