Peter Treseder has over 40 years of experience in the superannuation industry, the last 24 have been with AustralianSuper. For the majority of his career Peter has focussed on the design and implementation of superannuation education programs to help employers and members engage with their super, to enjoy a better retirement.
Peter believes the “mystery” of super needs to be removed, and its’ value highlighted, to encourage a change of attitude towards it. By changing an attitude, you can change a behaviour, which can give people the confidence to make decisions, that will make a difference to their retirement lifestyle. “Spending time now, engaging with your super, means less wasted time in retirement regretting a missed opportunity.”
Separate to his “super” life, Peter believes that cats are better than dogs, plays golf on a very regular basis, writes the occasional song for Greg Champion on the Coodabeen Champions and plays AFL Superules for the Carrum Cowboys.
