Jake Thomases is an Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Canberra, where he coordinates economic cooperation between the United States and Australia on everything from workforce development to rocket launches. He is the embassy’s liaison with the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources and advises Ambassador Caroline Kennedy on science and technology issues. Jake previously served in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Washington, DC. He has 10 years of experience in federal government. Prior to that, Jake was a journalist in New York City covering finance, technology, and sports.
