Jean Dyzel

Jean is a passionate leader with vast experience in the Policing, Fire and Emergency Services, and the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sectors. In her capacity as Chief Executive Officer at Public Skills Australia, Jean is perfectly positioned to drive positive change for our industry-sectors.

Jean’s career has spanned several sectors within Australia and South Africa, where she has led key projects in workforce planning, VET and higher education.

Previously, Jean worked as Director of Strategic Services at the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA). During her 12-year tenure, she was responsible for the Innovation and Research team that focused on current and future forecasting, scenario planning and horizon scanning. She also led the development of the Police Training Package, and other Police training approaches for Australia and New Zealand

Prior to joining Public Skills Australia, Jean worked in the Fire and Emergency Services industry-sector as Deputy Chief Officer at the Country Fire Authority where she led the operational doctrine and training portfolio.

While in South Africa, Jean worked with the Policing, Defence and Legal sectors at the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
