Leone English has over 30 years’ experience within a range of clinical, academic and senior management positions within the health and education sectors. Her clinical nursing background spans emergency, spinal injuries and cancer care across health services in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. As an academic she held teaching/academic positions at the University of South Australia, Southern Cross University and Monash University.  Leone was a previous Dean of Health Sciences and Executive Director of Education and Research at Holmesglen Institute in Victoria. She has a passion for simulation-based learning within health professional education and was the founding chair and president of the Victorian Simulation Alliance.Leone believes strongly in the power of high-quality health professional education to improve patient care and support better health outcomes for the community. Across 2020 / 2021 she lead a federally funded project within the Faculty of Pain Medicine to develop the National Strategy for Health Practitioner Pain Management Education.
