Dr Michelle Kaminski is the Podiatry Research Lead at Monash Health and has over 13 years of clinical and research experience in the prevention and management of high-risk foot conditions. 

Michelle is also an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University and an Adjunct Lecturer at La Trobe University. Michelle has experience in leading several large research projects within the public health and university sectors, and is passionate about embedding research into clinical practice and providing mentoring to emerging clinician-researchers. Michelle has published 17 peer-reviewed publications, presented at 19 state, national, and international conferences, has received 6 conference presentation awards, and has obtained over $360K in competitive research funding. 

A career highlight for Michelle was her involvement in the development of the Australian guidelines for diabetes-related foot disease, where she was secretary and first author of the ‘Prevention Guideline’. Michelle is an active researcher in the Asia Pacific Diabetic Foot Ulcer Academics Club, where she is involved in conducting diabetes-related foot disease research with leading experts in the field. Michelle is also an editorial board member for the Journal of Wound Management: the official journal of the European Wound Management Association.
