Ross Hampton, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Forest Products Association
Mr Ross Hampton has been Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) since 2013.
AFPA is the peak industry body representing tree growers (indigenous forest and plantation), timber processors (native and plantation) and the pulp, paper and bioproducts sector of Australia.
Mr Hampton has worked domestically and internationally, in and with Governments, in the area of public policy. He has specialized in developing and implementing policies in the areas of sustainable resource management, environmental protection, the circular economy, climate change and sustainable forest management.
Mr Hampton has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Hampton holds numerous industry leadership positions including:
- Chair of the UN FAO Advisory Committee on Sustainable Forest Based Industries (ACSFI)
- Member of the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations (ICFPA)
- Non Executive Director of Skills and Training organisation, ForestWorks.
