Family, community service and helping others are a huge part of who Nadia is. By opening up their home to people of varying cultures, abilities and life circumstances, her parents Tony and Rosemary showed their children the importance of looking out for one another.

Nadia grew up conscious of those around her and their needs, knowing not all of us have the same opportunities.

So after finishing her studies at the University of South Australia Nadia knew she wanted to work in a role that helped others. It is why she has worked in the not for profit sector (including in the areas of mental health and domestic violence), why she became a foster carer and why she chose to stand for Parliament.

Many might feel like politics doesn’t mean anything, but Nadia knows good governments can make policy decisions that can change people’s lives for the better. She wants all South Australians to have access to great education, health care and secure, well paid jobs.

Nadia knows it is a privilege to represent the people of Elder and is committed to listening to and advocating for the community.

In her downtime you’ll find her at a playground with Miss 5, at a gig with her partner or curled up with a book and a cup of tea.
