Michelle Lyons

Men and Family Centre

Michelle Lyons has been a specialist DV worker for over a decade, working primarily with victim-survivors, but also with perpetrators. Michelle lives and works in the flood-ravaged Northern Rivers, currently at two specialist DV services: the Men and Family Centre, an accredited service providing MBCPs, and DVCAS, the lead agency in NSW’s integrated response, Safer Pathway. Michelle's roles include responding to victims who have had Police contact, supporting the coordination of Safety Action Meetings, long-term partner support within the MBCP and individual support for men who have used violence. Michelle will be doing partner contact for Men and Family’s online MBCP. She recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Domestic and Family Violence Practice and is a PhD candidate researching the lived experience of coercive control.
