Presenting: Racism is violence: Anti-colonial and anti-racist approaches in violence response and prevention work

Dr Leticia Funston (pronouns: she/her) currently lives and works on the stolen and unceded lands of the Bidjigal peoples of Eora Nation. Leticia has some lived experiences of domestic, family and sexualised violence. Leticia is also a qualified and accredited Social Worker. Since graduating from the University of Sydney School of Education and Social Work with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2019, Leticia has worked as independent researcher focused on anti-racism, decolonisation, improving social responses to victims/survivors of domestic, family and sexualised violence and centering the lived expertise of victims/survivors.
