Mark
Kullkens is a Clinical Psychologist of Dutch-Anglo heritage born and raised on
unceded Wurundjeri Land in Narrm (Melbourne). Undertaking roles of therapist,
supervisor, trainer and assessor, Mark’s expertise lies in areas of violence,
trauma and engaging people in positive behaviour change. Mark has facilitated
more than 2500hrs of therapeutic group work with men who have used violence in
community, mental health and forensic settings. Mark was invited to work with
First Nations men in 2017 and remains committed to the project of First
Peoples’ sovereignty and self-determination. He commenced working with the
Institute of Non-Violence in 2021 and aligns with many of their values and
aspirations. He is a member of NTV since 1997, the Australian Psychological
Society, and APS College of Clinical Psychologists. He is currently a member of
the Expert Advisory Panel to Victoria’s historic Yoorrook Justice Commission.
Mark is passionately interested in the concepts surrounding shame and needs to
swim more.
