Kai Noonan
LGBTIQ+ Health Australia

Kai Noonan is the Director of Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Prevention at LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, where they are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent and respond to violence within LGBTIQ+ communities. Their primary focus is on building awareness and advocating for policy changes.

Kai has over 15 years of experience delivering and managing programs and services in the sexual, domestic and family violence (SDFV) sector. In 2015, Kai began focussing on SDFV in LGBTIQ+ communities. Since then, they have run intervention programs with LGBTIQ+ people impacted by SDFV, developed numerous educational resources - including websites and campaigns - designed and facilitated professional training programs across Australia and co-authored four pieces of research.

In 2024, Kai was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the LGBTIQ+ community and to the domestic and family violence sector.
