Founder and CEO of the Institute of non-violence, Hala Abdelnour is a highly qualified and experienced consultant and professional trainer, with specialist skills in family violence, intersectionality, and diversity and inclusion. Trained in Psychology and Social Work, and also holding an Advanced Diploma in Group Facilitation; Certificate IV in Dual Diagnosis; and Certificate IV in Training, Assessment and Education.Hala started her career started in community development and settlement services for migrant and refugee communities, as well as the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector, in a maximum-security male prison. She is a Men’s Behaviour Change facilitator, clinical supervisor and a Vincent Fairfax Fellow. Hala has lived, worked and/or travelled in approximately 50 countries and speaks 6 languages. She currently lives and works on Tharawal country and acknowledges their elders as the traditional custodians.
