Claire Stanley is the Vic/Tas Service Wide Principal Practitioner with over thirty years working in the sector. Claire has gained both forensic knowledge and experience from her clinical work in family violence specialist services and has provided professional training on the topic of family and sexual violence at conferences and as an invited guest lecturer at universities. Currently, she provides clinical leadership for the Uniting Vic/Tas Principal Practitioner Program, which has a primary focus of embedding the CYF TMoC and, the application of evidenced clinical practice approaches when working with risk and family violence. Claire is the author of the CYF Therapeutic Model of Care chapters Risk and the Therapeutic Task and Violence in Relationships as well as more broadly contributing to its development as an active project member. Claire believes in the importance of prioritising relational safety to reduce violence. Claire demonstrates a commitment to elevating the child’s voice in practice, valuing the integration of contemporary research to improve the safety and wellbeing for Uniting’s consumers and employees when partnering with service delivery and quality colleagues. Claire, with her Principal Practitioner program, contributes toward a learning environment, that enables a practice uplift opportunity, both in competence and confidence, understanding the importance of fostering personal and professional growth within our valued workforce.
