Cameron McDonald is an experienced practitioner who has never been satisfied with socially dominant forms of masculinity. From a young age he committed to taking action against gendered violence and what drives it. With a Master of social work, he has undertaken a range of work in primary prevention, including delivering healthy relationships and sexual health education programs to young people and men. He has also worked in early intervention and response roles with men who choose to perpetrate violence. At Our Watch, he worked with an incredible advisory group and peer-review group to develop the Men in focus practice guide (2022). Cameron is currently a Prevention Sector Engagement Lead at Our Watch, working to build the capacity and connectedness of prevention practitioners across the continent.
