Head of Asset Performance - MIRA Agriculture

Jock heads up the Asset Performance function across the MIRA Agriculture platform. This role has responsibilities to drive the creation of value across the entire investment value chain.
Jock is also responsible for the development and execution of the strategy for Macquarie Pastoral Fund (MPF) and its sole operating entity Paraway Pastoral Co.
Jock has worked on MPF since 2008 and has led the Fund since 2012. He was also Chief Executive Officer of Paraway from 2012 to 2020, overseeing Paraway’s transition from a ‘start-up’ style corporate farming operation to one of Australia’s largest diversified livestock producers. Paraway’s portfolio now includes 28 aggregations, which together span approximately 4.5m hectares and have an enterprise value of over $1.6b. During Paraway’s evolution, Jock was responsible for the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy; increasing the scale and efficiency of its operations; ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of livestock to end markets; and exploring opportunities for vertical integration.
Jock is recognised as an industry leader and has deep experience in asset management in agriculture across strategy development and execution, mergers and acquisitions, deal execution, investor relations and people leadership. He has served on the NSW PIMAC, an advisory group to the NSW Minister for Agriculture, the Telstra Regional Advisory Committee and has recently been appointed to the Sustainability Steering Group under the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework.
Jock’s prior experience includes leading a team at National Australia Bank’s Agricultural business and with Clyde Agriculture, a subsidiary of the Swire Group, which previously owned and operated approximately $500 million of agricultural assets in NSW and Queensland.
