How your personal information will be used
Your privacy is important to us. We will only collect, use or disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 Cth (Privacy Act).

Any personal information you provide as part of the registration process will be used for marketing and activities related to the production and setup of the conference. This encompasses any information you provide into the registration portal, which may include your personal and business details, dietary requirements, accommodation bookings, health related contact tracing, photography and video consent.

Comcare, as well as our conference partner (Conference Logistics) and associated service providers, are unlikely to disclose your personal information to a person who is not in Australia or an external Territory.

Title: Fix the work, not the worker: using the SMART Work Design model in everyday leadership

This workshop will help you to understand what good work design is, see its relevance to your work context and take a first step to design better work for improved outcomes. The facilitators will introduce you to the SMART Work Design model as a practical framework you can use in your role. Through hands-on activities you will try out different ways to apply SMART work design, share learnings and insights with your peers, and walk away from the session with a clear plan for using SMART work design in your work.

Title: Managing Psychosocial Safety through Organisational Change

Facilitated by Dr Laura Kirby, Executive Director & Chief Psychologist, Australian Psychological Services

Australian organisations are navigating a significant period of disruption and transformation – on top of the ongoing change that is simply routine within organisations. External influences, including financial pressure, rapid automation, increased demands, along with persistent uncertainty, is forcing leaders to make difficult decisions about workforce structure at pace. At the same time, under Australia's Work Health and Safety legislation, employers carry a clear and non-negotiable duty of care: to identify and manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace, including those arising from poorly handled organisational change.

These two realities are converging. And the organisations caught without a structured approach to change management are facing not just a people problem — but a legal, financial, and reputational one.

This workshop is designed to prepare leaders to not just meet compliance when it comes to managing change but also equip workplaces and their workforce to navigate workplace change well. Focusing on key change mechanisms, including risk assessing and preparing adequate controls for change, consulting on change, and post-implementation supports, this workshop will provide participants with a practical toolkit for implementation within their respective workplaces. 

The workshop will feature a variety of interactive activities, including breakout group discussions, individual reflection exercises, and case study analyses. It will be an engaging environment that will encourage open dialogue and questions throughout.

Join Comcare, Union representatives and fellow Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) to discuss current and emerging challenges and opportunities, while networking with like-minded colleagues.

This workshop afternoon will provide the opportunity to collectively problem solve and learn from real-life case studies and experience.

We are holding rooms at several hotels situated near the National Convention Centre Canberra.

All bookings are subject to availability. Credit card details are required to secure your booking. 

The closing date for all bookings is 5pm AEST Tuesday 11 August 2026. Bookings made after this date will be on request with the hotel, subject to availability and conference rates may not apply.

All payment for accommodation and incidentals will be charged at check in/out at the hotel. Some hotels may choose to pre-charge your credit card at 30 days prior.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD$) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax).
