Dr Alexander Cooke is the Director of Strategic Delivery for Growth and leads the Missions Program within CSIRO, Australia’s National Science Agency. The Strategic Delivery Group enables CSIRO to deliver a large portfolio of collaborative and interdisciplinary initiatives. CSIRO’s Missions Program currently oversees a portfolio of missions addressing decarbonisation and energy transformation, water security, environmental resilience, human health, infrastructure resilience and circular industries. 

Prior to working at CSIRO, Alex served as Australia's Industry, Innovation and Science Counsellor in Brussels, supporting the Australian Government's engagement in Europe. Alex has also been responsible for delivering science, research and innovation policy and programs to various Ministers, Federal Government Departments as well as the Australian Research Council.
