Presentation: Muscling up on mental illness: new advances in the integration of exercise as usual care
Dr Simon Rosenbaum is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Psychiatry, UNSW Sydney and the Black Dog Institute. He currently holds both a UNSW Scientia and an NHMRC Fellowship (Australia). Simon’s research looks at the impact of physical activity on symptoms of mental disorders and the implementation of exercise as a component of standard care within mental health settings.
Simon has worked with a variety of groups including veterans, emergency service workers and refugees, and has published over 130 peer-reviewed publications and presented at more than 25 national and international conferences. Simon currently serves on the national board of Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
