We heard the comments and feedback from those that attended 2024, and we are taking them all into consideration in order to achieve our goal of shared learning.

The AWSA Summer School will provide participants with a rare opportunity to interact with experts in the field and those who challenge the conventional scientific wisdom. This interactive learning platform goes beyond traditional lectures, allowing for in-depth discussions, exploration of best practices, examination of both strengths and limitations, and insights into emerging trends and technologies. We actively encourage debate, critical thinking, and diverse perspectives. The target audience comprises Advanced Clinicians in Allied Health and Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Practitioners, Scientists, and emerging leaders in wound management. Attendance is deliberately limited to enhance the learning experience.

The Alliance Board: Terry Swanson (Nurse Practitioner), Dr Nikki Frescos (Podiatry), Jan Rice (Wound Consultant) and Andrea Minnis (Nurse Practitioner) are passionate clinicians who have dedicated years to education and researching best practices. The Alliance was formed through a bond of dedication and commitment to foster an environment where clinicians have opportunities for mentorship, understanding of ethical practices and to develop friendships and networks.
