The 2016 Australian Government Legal Network (AGLN) Conference will be held on Friday 29 July 2016 at QT Hotel, Canberra.

Join us for an exciting day about what the future of work and an increasingly technologically enabled workforce means for Commonwealth lawyers. This year’s theme is ‘20/20 vision: lawyering in the future’.

The AGLN Conference features speakers from the legal industry, academia and government and offers breakout sessions and opportunities to mingle with colleagues.  Speakers photos and a brief biography can be viewed here.

Our MC for the day is ABC talk show host James O’Loghlin, who, in a former life, was a commercial and criminal lawyer and professional stand-up comedian, writer and television presenter and is sure to keep us all entertained.

Registration fees include access to all conference sessions and catering (morning/afternoon tea and lunch) and are inclusive of GST.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points
Your attendance may be able to be claimed for CPD units. In most jurisdictions, CPD is based on self-assessment of the educational activity by the practitioner, so if you find the activity relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of law, you may be able to claim the activity for CPD units.
Conference attendance is generally 1 hour = 1 unit. We suggest you check the requirements with your Law Society. The ACT CPD Guidelines can be viewed here.

Cancellation Policy
Delegates who find themselves unable to attend the Australian Government Legal Network Conference after submitting a registration form are most welcome to nominate a substitute.
All substitutions and cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference Managers (Conference Logistics).
  • Cancellations received before 8 July 2016 will be refunded, less an administration fee of $99
  • Cancellations received after 8 July 2016 are non-refundable.

By submitting your registration you agree to the terms of the cancellation policy. Exceptions are at the discretion of the AGLN Conference Committee.
