Thank you for joining us at the 49th International Mental Health Nursing Conference
10 - 12 SEPTEMBER 2025
Meanjin, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) hosts the International Mental Health Nursing Conference annually as a face-to-face event, welcoming nearly 600 delegates over three days.

Our aim for the 49th ACMHN is to create an environment that supports knowledge sharing, relationship building, and collaborative practice. We seek to strengthen the mental health sector and the profession of mental health nursing through meaningful partnerships with stakeholders, health care agencies, and educational institutions. The conference theme, Mental Health Nursing – Our Identity, Influence, and Impact, recognises the specialist skills of mental health nurses and the importance of #SayOurName. When fully supported, mental health nurses shape policy, lead services, work beyond traditional settings, and are highly regarded. This conference was also honoured to collaborate with the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) and the Drug and Alcohol Nurses Association (DANA).

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who are Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, and we particularly acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as the traditional owners and custodians of land on which the College National Office stands. We recognise the important connection of First Peoples to land, water and community, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
