Professor Andrew Cashin
Professor of Autism and Intellectual Disability, Southern Cross University

Andrew Cashin is Professor of Autism and Intellectual Disability in the Discipline of Psychological and Social Science, Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Southern Cross University. Andrew is a mental health Nurse Practitioner and runs a clinic for people with ASD on the Lismore university campus. Andrew is an accredited provider of therapeutic supports under the NDIS. He is a fellow of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, Australian College of Nursing and the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners. He is a life member of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners. Andrew is an Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. He is author of the book Young People, Adults and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Andrew co-leads the Every Nurses Business NDIS funded project to build capacity of Registered Nurses to care for people with autism and/or intellectual disability in mainstream health care.
